Empowering Women Leaders Through Digital Skills and Community Engagement

ABC-Development is proud to celebrate the successful completion of a six-month computer skills training programme by female councilors in Kambia District. The training was conducted at the Sunday Foundation Skills Training Centre with support from Irish Aid through Trócaire under the Empowering Women's Leadership and Political Participation Project.

The training has equipped the female councilors with essential digital and computer skills to strengthen their leadership, improve communication, enhance record management, and better serve their communities.

In addition to the training, the councilors received grants from Irish Aid through Trócaire to facilitate engagement with their ward members. Through these community interface meetings, they shared the District Development Plan, promoted inclusive participation, and created platforms for accountability between elected representatives and citizens.

The meetings encouraged open dialogue on community development priorities, allowing residents and councilors to discuss progress made, celebrate successes, identify challenges, and agree on joint actions for sustainable local development.

ABC-Development remains committed to strengthening women's leadership and promoting inclusive governance by ensuring that women leaders have the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to effectively represent their communities.

Together, we are building stronger communities where every voice matters.
